Meet The TeraViks
We are the TeraViks, an FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) team from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Since our founding in 2009 as Team 3145 and restart in Fall of 2022 as Team 9044, the TeraViks have won 11 awards which include the Rookie All-Star Award two times, the Highest Rookie Seed Award, Industrial Design Award at the Spokane regionals, Imagery Award in Idaho regionals, the Innovation and Control Award in Calgary, and the Idaho regionals. Our team qualified for the World Championships in 2014, 2018, and 2023.

What Is FIRST?
For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 to inspire young peoples’ interest and participation in science and technology.
Every year, the first week in January, FIRST issues a new design challenge to teams across the globe via the internet at a kick-off event. The teams then have 6 weeks to design, build and test a robot to complete that years' challenge. Winners of the FIRST-organized regional events - held in Boise for Idaho and neighboring states' teams - then progress to the World Championships held in Texas. This event attracts over 400 international teams from as far away as Australia and China.
At these events, participants get to meet people from other countries and cultures, and interact with influential, highly skilled industry professionals, all set against the backdrop of one of the world’s largest robotics competitions.
FIRST has different levels of competition for various age groups. Team Teraviks is for the high school age group called FRC (First Robotics Competition). But there are middle and elementary school competitions as well (First Lego League & First Tech Challenge).

We Need Your Help!
Each year we must raise the money required to compete. The funds are used to build the robot, cover competition entry fees, and for travel and lodging while at events. We need your help to continue fueling young minds with a passion for engineering! Please make a tax-deductible donation today.
