Meet The TeraViks
We are the TeraViks, an FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) team from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Since our founding in 2009 our team has won nine different awards including the Industrial Design Award at the Spokane regionals, Imagery Award in Idaho regionals, and the Innovation and Control Award in Calgary and at the Idaho regionals. Our team also qualified for the World Championships in 2014 and 2018.

What Is FIRST?
For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 to inspire young people’s interest and participation in science and technology.
Every year, FIRST issues a challenge to teams across the globe via the internet at a kick-off event. The teams then have 6 weeks to design, build and test a robot to complete the challenge. Winners of the FIRST-organized regional events - held in Boise - then progress to the World Championships held in various locations throughout the country. This event attracts approximately 400 international teams from as far away as Australia.
At these events, participants get to meet people from other countries and cultures, and interact with influential, highly skilled industry professionals, all set against the backdrop of one of the world’s largest robotics competitions.
